We are currently awaiting info on ScoutLook 2018.

 SCOUTLOOK 2017 REGISTRATION DEADLINE: JUNE 30, 2017.

ScoutLook is a week-long wilderness camp geared for scout-aged youth that have limited back-country camping experience.

Run by the Manitoba Council of Scouts Canada, this camp is open to first year Scouts (and older Cub Scouts*) who want to gain experience in canoeing and backwoods camping.

The camp focuses on developing back-country camping and canoeing skills and Leave-No-Trace outdoor ethics

Specific activities include canoeing, water safety, first aid, knots and lashing, using stoves and lanterns, camp set up, meal preparation and crafts.

ScoutLook is an annual event, typically beginning the weekend after the August long weekend.  It is held at Camp Alloway on Big Whiteshell Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park.

An evening pre-camp event is held in June to educate and prepare the participants for camp.

* Due to the physical demand that may be involved with this camp, participants must be 10-1/2 years old at the time of camp.  Campers and parents are encouraged to visit the Scoutlook web page at: http://scoutdooradventuresmb.ca/scoutlook/
