Sunday, February 10, 2019:  Scouts @ Manitoba Moose

Sunday afternoon @ Bell MTS Place, 300 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg MB

Mark your calendars!  All 67th Winnipeg Scouting members and their families are invited to join us and cheer on the Moose.  Full uniform for Scouting members, please!  Start time, ticket order pricing, and ticket-purchase deadlines to be announced.

Parents, please accompany your youth to this game.  Scouter supervision is not provided.

Monday, February 25, 2019:  Annual All-section Baden-Powell Potluck Dinner

6:15pm – 8:30pm at St. Aidan's Anglican Church, 274 Campbell Street, Winnipeg, MB

All 67th Winnipeg Scouting members and their families are invited to join together for a pot luck dinner in celebration of Baden-Powells' Birthday and Scout-Guide Week.  Each Scouting section is assigned a type of dish to bring.  Full uniform for Scouting members, please!

Beaver Scout families – Desserts
Cub Scouts families – Main courses (enough for 8-10 people)
Scout families – Side dishes and salads (enough for 5-7 people)
Venturer & Rover Scout families – Main courses (enough for 8-10 people)
Group: Coffee, tea, beverage, plates, napkins, condiments, buns.

Families with youth in multiple sections, please bring the dish associated with the youngest section.


Scouts and Scouter at Baden-Powell Dinner



Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3, 2019:  47th Klondike Derby for Scouts and Cub Scouts

Camp Amisk, Winnipeg, MB

Events for both days are held on the trails of Camp Amisk, just south of Winnipeg.  Scouts run the Derby on the Saturday and Cub Scouts run on Sunday.  Derby start times for our 67th Winnipeg teams are normally known a few days in advance.  Venturer Scouts and Rover Scouts will have opportunities for Offer of Service.



Tuesday, March 5, 2019:  Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

5:00 pm – 8:30pm at St. Aidan's Anglican Church, 274 Campbell Street, Winnipeg, MB
Pre-Lenten Pancake Supper for all St. Aidan's congregation, all Scouting sections and families, and the public.

A Scouting fundraiser and Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner all in one – at St. Aidan’s (corner of Kingsway & Campbell). Scouting youth (Cub Scouts and older) will help cook and serve and provide some entertainment at the Pancake Supper. Scouting youth can attend for free, if serving and in full uniform, but donations will be gratefully accepted. Helpers can arrive as early as 5:00 p.m. if they would like to eat before the supper starts. Supper to start approximately 5:30 p.m. and tickets for family members are max $7 per person. We will take the youth bowling (venue to be announced) and expect pickup to be at the bowling alley at 8:30 p.m.  Contact your section leader or email 67thwpg@gmail.com for tickets!

Saturday, March 9, 2019:   Team Trivia Fundraiser (teams of up to ten)

Glenwood Community Centre.  Doors open 6:30; event starts at 7:00.

Both a fun night and a fundraiser.  Come out and test your trivial knowledge.  This event is for those aged 16 and over, and includes a dessert auction, silent auction and 50/50 draw.  Teams of up to 10 people.  Tickets $15 per player – Contact your Section Scouter for tickets.



Thursday, March 21, 2019:  Group Committee meeting

7pm – 9pm @ 274 Campbell Street, Winnipeg, MB, Canada (St. Aidan's southeast door)

All leaders and Scouting parents are requested to attend. This is where decisions are made that affect your Scout group!  Every family and registered member has an opportunity to provide direction on group management and administration.  All Scouters and parents are requested to attend.

Meeting participants are gathered around a table, each putting ideas out there


To be determined:  B-P Sunday Church Parade  

10:00 am – noon at St. George's Anglican Church, 1118 Grosvenor Avenue, Winnipeg, MB

Baden-Powell Sunday Church Parade, with flags, for Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts and Leaders. All families welcome.  Our group has been invited to participate in the "B-P Sunday" church service at St. George's Anglican Church (host to our Cub Scout Pack).  Prior to the parade, all sections (Beaver Scouts, Cubs, Scouts, Venturer Scouts, and Rover Scouts) will form up (in full uniform) in the basement of St. George's at 10:00 a.m. and parade our flags into the service at 10:30 a.m.

Families are welcome to participate in the service, and all are welcome to stay for refreshments after the service.  Please meet in the basement of St. George's (via west door, off Grosvenor Ave.) for 10:00 a.m.
