Gone Home

We honour the memory of our Scouts and Scouters who have passed away and "gone home."

Gerald Barker (Date of Passing: October 2, 2016)

Gerald has packed up for his final hike and camp and has gone home.  Gerald served as a committee member, Venturer Advisor and Troop Scouter over a decades-long career (first with the "66th," then with a merged "66th - 67th Group).  Gerald will be sorely missed.

John Gunn (Date of Passing: November 20, 2015)

John was a long-standing Scouter in the 28th St. George's Scout Group, who’s charter 67th Winnipeg now holds.  John was an active Cub Scout Leader and Group Commissioner.

In loving memory of a young Scout taken from us too soon.

Andrew wins the rally!

Andrew McLarty (1995-2015)

From Beavers to Venturers, Andrew participated actively as a Scout, traveling Canada from coast to coast, attending various jamborees and adventuring in Newfoundland.  Andrew's favourite colour was red.

Jim Daun

Jim Daun (Date of Passing: April 4, 2014)

Jim was a long-standing Pack Scouter in the 67th Winnipeg Scout Group, active until about 1993 or 1994. His son, Kyle - former Beaver, Cub, and Scout - fondly remembers many a cold night at the tree lot next to the Coleman heater, slinging Scotch pines and Douglas firs, and debating the merits of each tree vis a vis vacuum cleaners.
